Ok. Let me catch you up on my life. Here's today. I worked, ate chicken, got an oil change, took my mother to dinner for early mother's day, made about 7 phones calls regarding a day trip tomorrow with friends, played my new favorite game (flood it) and some roof rats, found strawberries to buy, drove about 100 miles although I worked only two blocks from home, reviewed files that were either boring or depressing, wrote emails of sympathy (to a boss), criticism (to a local dj) and praise (for a senator), ate more chicken, apoligized for an unintentional mistake at work, watched and read the news, and had 4 glasses of sweet tea.The picture was taken by one of my daughters. She was in the southwest last week and took this at the bottom of the grand canyon. it's my new desktop picture. pretty, isn't it?

today I drove one daughter and 3 of my friends to N.C. to go gem mining. There were some strains among us from being cooped up in a car for a long period of time. I've gotten less patient and more critical, and everyone else has gotten more irritating, so there were moments when the plan seemed like a bad idea, and then we had some good laughs and were glad we did it. I found rubies, emeralds, quartz, amethyst, and other pretty rocks. None of us is young anymore except little claire, so we are all achy now.
clover is still in this world, content, eating, sweet but obviously getting worse. She has rallied in the past week some, tho.
"everyone else has gotten more irritating"--ha! I love that. Gwen had better not have tried to start something like she did with that man on the plane.
